OVERVIEW
“Taste” was an individually designed node within the senior exhibition Proprioception, where guests explored the five senses as part of the human condition. As an interactive installation visitors were guided through the five tastebud categories—salty, sweet, umami, sour, and bitter—using a custom built sample dispenser, large scale graphics, and color coded signage. Participants could take a sample from each tastebud, paired with a corresponding sticker, along with a miniature receipt, fork, and colored tongue as keepsakes. By merging hands-on engagement with immersive visuals, this display offered an intuitive and memorable experience, encouraging guests to reflect on taste as a powerful and complex singular sense.
